Candidates must provide evidence of currency and experience by working in a management role for a minimum of 12 months within the past 18 months. A letter on company letterhead from current/past employer(s) verifying this is required.
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
This Certificate is designed to introduce students to the recognized trade callings in the construction industry and provide meaningful credit in a construction industry Australian Apprenticeship. This course is designed to cover topics common to all construction industry trades, including construction industry induction training and the fundamentals of bricklaying, simple concreting, and tiling.
As this is a course designed for students with little to no vocational experience (apart from assistant laborers, for example), the College will not offer RPL to ensure students have the opportuni- ty to undertake training in ‘current’ industry skills and knowledge.
Credit will be given for units of competency for which a certified copy is produced, subject to the College’s own verification. This will be identified prior to course commencement to enable any adjustments to the course program to be finalized.
